We love French wine! Who doesn’t?

But what we love above all is walking in France’s beautiful wine regions. Taking in the bucolic, rustic and poetic vibe of France’s vineyards and wine villages.

Their ambiance and beauty takes you back to times before industrialisation, Americanisation and Asianisation. Vineyards and villages were established in the Middle Ages. Fortunately, medieval architecture remains, and local communities are still vibrant. Wine and gastronomy are still based on the “terroir” meaning that tastes and flavours are shaped by the natural environment – the soil, topography, and climate.

Throw away your wine textbooks and preconceived notions. Put on your walking shoes. Surrender yourselves to “la France profonde”, “the deep France”. Stop talking and judging. Turn off your iPhone. Listen to the sounds and rhythms of nature. Immerse yourselves in wine walking in France!

By this website, we share with you our experiences of wine walking in France, and invite you to share your own experiences with us, and with our fellow wine walkers.
